2026 Seasonal Social Media Intern

Kitty Hawk Kites is looking for a high-energy Social Media Intern to join our team this summer. You will work directly with our Content Manager and Social Media Manager to capture the fun of our kite company, surf shops, online store and Life is Good stores, while producing content that will drive sales across all departments!

What You’ll Do
-Help us capture the action! You’ll use a mix of DSLR cameras and iPhones to shoot everything from high-flying kite sessions to our latest beach apparel and lifestyle gear.
- Assist in setting up fun "studio" or lifestyle photoshoots. You’ll work with local models and staff to make our new arrivals look "cool" and aspirational for our online store and retail.
-Help us brainstorm ideas to produce 2–3 short-form videos (TikToks/Reels) a day. This includes "Day in the Life" clips, employee interviews, and fun Q&As with the kite community! 
-Stay on top of the latest sounds and trends on TikTok and Instagram, finding creative ways to make them work for the surf and kite world.
-Get hands-on experience with the "business side" of social media—scheduling posts across all platforms, brainstorming holiday campaigns, and helping us monitor Meta ads and analytics to see what’s working!

What We’re Looking For:
-You have a "creative eye" and love finding fun in any situation! You’re comfortable whether you’re behind the lens, giving ideas, helping direct a shot, or even occasionally appearing in a video to show off a new product.--You’re high-energy and love being outdoors!
-You’re happy to be on your feet at the beach, on the dunes or in the shop, capturing the action where it happens.
