Assemblers & Wiring Technicians

Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Location: Hanover, MD

Position Overview

We are currently hiring Assemblers and Wiring Technicians to support production in a fast‑growing manufacturing environment. These roles are responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical components into finished products by following detailed specifications, blueprints, and work orders. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a hands‑on, industrial setting.

Assembler Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company safety policies, including the use of required PPE (steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection).
  • Safely operate hand and power tools while maintaining a clean, organized work area.
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Assemble structures and components, ensuring products are level, square, and built to specification.
  • Inspect materials and components for defects such as dents, scratches, or damage before and after assembly.
  • Use torque wrenches to tighten fasteners to specified torque requirements.
  • Assemble switchboards and panelboards using verbal and written instructions while identifying missing or incorrect components.
  • Understand and use manufacturing documentation, including bills of materials, drawings, front views, and order systems.
  • Communicate job progress, part shortages, and potential issues to supervisors and team members.
  • Perform visual inspections, identify nonconforming parts, and troubleshoot assembly errors.
  • Assemble copper bussing according to design specifications, ensuring proper spacing between phases and ground.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in root cause analysis for quality or production issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

Wiring Technician Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with PPE requirements at all times.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate wiring and assembly.
  • Assemble and wire switchboards and panelboards using written and verbal instructions.
  • Ensure product quality by verifying assemblies are level, square, and built to specification.
  • Inspect components for damage and defects prior to installation.
  • Use torque wrenches and other precision tools to meet required specifications.
  • Assemble copper bussing according to design requirements and verify correct spacing and alignment.
  • Perform visual inspections before and after wiring to identify nonconforming parts or errors.
  • Communicate job status, part shortages, and build issues clearly with the production team.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and support root cause analysis for quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as an assembler or wiring technician in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, and standard assembly techniques.
  • Electrical assembly experience is a plus.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Location: Hanover, MD
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods are required.
  • PPE required: steel‑toed boots, safety glasses, and long pants made of durable material.
  • Initial training is provided during the first week.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
