Job Title: Welder / Pipefitter

Responsibilities

• Work in a steel fabrication setting to complete fitting and welding duties.
• Perform structural steel fitting and pipefitting tasks.
• Execute flux core welding techniques.
• Read and interpret tape measures with precision to 1/16th of an inch.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as part of the job requirements.
• Conduct tack welding operations.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting.
• Proficient in fabrication, blueprint reading, and welding.
• Skilled in flux core, MIG, and TIG welding techniques.
• Experience with structural and stainless steel, sheet metal, and production processes.
• Ability to use hand tools and execute precise measurements.
• Knowledge of AWS standards and mechanical construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with pulse MIG and aluminum welding.
• Experience in grinding, construction, and working with carbon steel.

Work Environment

Our work environment includes a structured shift schedule: Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Friday from 5 am to 1 pm, and occasional Saturdays from 5 am to 1 pm. Be prepared for hands-on work in a fast-paced and collaborative steel fabrication facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
