Position Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Certified Nurse Assistant performs all duties within scope of practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge necessary to obtain C.N.A. license in the state of California
• Current C.N.A. certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six (6) months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
