Role: Painter

Location: Carterville, IL (62918)

Duration: 10 months

Shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (OT available)

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced industrial Painter responsible for surface preparation, sandblasting, and applying protective/decorative coatings on products, including diesel-powered pumps. Must have stable work history and manufacturing painting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces (sanding, cleaning, masking/taping).
• Read and interpret paint specifications and product data sheets.
• Mix, formulate, test, and apply liquid coatings per specifications.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Follow safety and quality guidelines.
• Support team performance and meet customer expectations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 3 years of industrial/manufacturing painting experience.
• Familiarity with conventional manufacturing painting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Preferred: Manufacturing job shop experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and work indoors/outdoors.
• Tolerate extreme temperatures (0 F to 120 F), noise, dust, and concrete surfaces.
• Must be able to use a computer and communicate effectively.
