Every weekend and evening off!! Close early on Fridays! Responsibilities Answering phones, scheduling appointments. Checking and qualifying vision and health insurances. Checking in patients. Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear based on their prescription and personal preferences. Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses. Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to help them make informed decisions. Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate and organized records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments. Knowledge and experience in vision claims submission and follow-up is critical. Ability to pull up patient’s vision plans and explain benefits to the customer. Collaborate with optometrists to provide comprehensive eye care services. Qualifications Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role is REQUIRED Strong knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses Familiarity with medical billing systems and insurance claims processing Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers. Proficient in using laboratory equipment for lens cutting and edging Sales experience in a retail setting is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology related to eye care Ability to maintain a clean and sterile work environment using aseptic techniques Experience working with senior care patients is beneficial.
