Job Description

Store Manager

Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 annually

Do your pets have more outfits than you do? Are you passionate about creating an exceptional experience for both people and their pets? Join our team as a Store Manager and help lead a fun, customer-focused retail environment centered around pet wellness and community engagement.

As Store Manager, you will lead by example, drive store performance, and create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and pet-centric culture for both customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the store team through hands-on leadership and daily engagement on the sales floor
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for pet owners and their pets
  • Drive sales performance, customer engagement, loyalty memberships, and store productivity
  • Analyze sales results and implement action plans to achieve store goals
  • Ensure operational excellence, including animal care, safety, cleanliness, and security standards
  • Create and manage weekly schedules to maximize staffing efficiency and team engagement
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop team members at all levels
  • Foster a positive team culture through coaching, recognition, and career development support
  • Maintain strong store audit and customer satisfaction results
  • Build relationships within the local community through partnerships, events, and marketing opportunities
  • Operate store equipment as needed, including forklifts and ladders

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail management or team leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background and drug screenings
