Adelphi is seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide forensic psychiatric care to adult patients at a facility in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing care for court-ordered patients in compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements
• Must be a Licensed Physician in the State of Missouri
• Active unrestricted Missouri Medical License with no sanctions
• Active DEA certification
• Active Missouri BNDD registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry preferred
• Experience in inpatient psychiatry required
• Experience with forensic or court-ordered populations preferred
• Must complete all credentialing, background screening, and security clearance requirements prior to start
• Must be able to complete fingerprinting (in-state requirement)
• Must provide negative TB test (within 1 year)
• Must provide government-issued photo identification
• Must provide at least one professional reference
• All certifications must remain active throughout the assignment
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
• Provide psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and treatment planning for competency restoration patients
• Conduct face-to-face psychiatric evaluations and ongoing patient monitoring for court-ordered patients
• Manage adult patients with serious mental illness in a structured inpatient forensic setting
• Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Participate in required orientation and training
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, facility regulations, and all applicable guidelines
• Adhere to attendance and leave policies
• Perform duties consistent with those assigned to permanent physicians
• Complete additional duties as assigned
