IPS Security Inc. is looking for Security Officers to join our team. Your role as a Security Officer will be to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and guests, monitor and report any activity, and work hand in hand with the other staff members. In order to be successful in this role, you must have open availability, have good communication skills both orally and written, and have strong customer service skills.

Location: Midtown, Manhattan

Salary: $20.00 to $21.00 an hour.

Full Time Shift Available:

• Tuesday to Saturday: 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site training and re-training for Security Officers and Fire Safety Directors, covering post procedures, hospitality standards, key control, lost & found (30 vs. 90-day items; low vs. high value), and safe handling.
• Enforce uniform and grooming standards (clean, wrinkle-free uniform; black socks and shoes; proper accessories).
• Monitor attendance, address lateness, and ensure accurate timesheet submission weekly.
• Oversee incident reporting and submit documentation to IPS Operations Manager.
• Prepare site schedules with minimal overtime and ensure all shifts are covered.
• Serve as liaison between site employees, Ops and HR (signed documents, memos, compliance).
• Escalate repeat issues, injuries, and major incidents to IPS Operations Manager.
• Oversee panic button control and assist with monthly testing.
• Conduct month-end inventory of office and uniform supplies.

Qualifications:

• Prior security supervisory experience.
• Valid Security Guard License.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Professional and hospitality-driven demeanor.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
