Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Indianapolis, IN
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
• Travel: Occasional field work and/or overnight travel may be required.
• Interview Mode: Webcam only.
• Shift: Monday Friday, EST.

Key Responsibilities

Education & Training Coordination

• Lead and coordinate major health education initiatives, including the Annual World TB Day Conference .
• Develop and disseminate training documents, toolkits, and the TB newsletter for internal and external partners.
• Conduct educational presentations for local health departments (LHDs), homeless shelters, civil surgeons, and infection control practitioners.
• Serve as the program's CDC Education and Training Focal Point .

Strategic Liaison & Consultation

• Act as the primary liaison with the American Lung Association , Global TB Institute at Rutgers , and the CDC .
• Facilitate the Indiana TB Elimination Advisory Committee and oversee the state's TB elimination plan.
• Provide technical assistance to healthcare providers regarding TB biology, epidemiology, and state/federal regulations.

Program Support & Outreach

• Maintain and update the TB program website to ensure all resources and links are current.
• Assist in writing grants and funding proposals to support program initiatives.
• Engage directly with the public at health fairs and community outreach events.
• Direct and coordinate the work of program interns as needed.

Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification: CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) or MCHES is highly desired.
• Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) or Community Health.
• Communication: Expertise in principles of Risk Communication .
