Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and assisting during procedures. This position is primarily structured for travel assignments , ideal for surgical techs who enjoy new challenges and working in different healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
  • Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain surgical inventory and restock as necessary.
  • Document procedures and sterilization logs accurately and in compliance with facility policies.
  • Adapt quickly to different facility protocols and surgical teams.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program .
  • Certification (CST or equivalent) preferred or required based on state regulations.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of surgical experience in hospital or ambulatory surgical settings.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and OR safety practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments to various healthcare facilities.
