Job Description

As an Electrician, you will utilize various tools, testing instruments, and equipment to install, inspect, repair, maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot different types of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
• Install or repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
• Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
• Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Utilize a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate electrical systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Four years of experience in electrical maintenance work.
• Ability to read blueprints, bend conduits, troubleshoot, repair motors and controls, and install and repair AC and DC equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of switches, transformers, and transformer hook-ups.
• Ability to work on electrical equipment located at various heights.
• Must obtain and maintain required explosives certifications when assigned to ordnance operations.
• Must have and maintain hand tools of the trade to perform the normal work of the classifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification, and clearance eligibility when required.

The work will be conducted on a Naval Base, requiring adherence to specific security and safety protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, WA.

The pay range for this position is $46.78 - $49.11/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bremerton,WA.
