Thinking Minds’ client is seeking a Senior SAP FICO / ERP Product Lead to own and drive the SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) landscape across a complex enterprise environment. This role is a key member of the SAP Center of Excellence , responsible for delivering scalable, best-practice SAP FICO solutions , supporting global template alignment, and enabling continuous business process improvement.
Deep hands-on expertise in SAP FICO configuration and support
Strong experience with SAP ECC 6.0 full lifecycle implementations
Proven ability to align business requirements with SAP best practices
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong understanding of cross-module SAP integrations
The ideal candidate will serve as the functional lead for SAP Finance applications , with end-to-end ownership of solution design, configuration, optimization, and support. Working closely with business subject matter experts and IT partners, this role ensures tight alignment between financial processes and SAP-enabled solutions.
The role focuses on leveraging SAP FICO and industry standards to deliver value realization, standardized controls, and consistent system usage across business units and geographies. This individual will also play a critical role in future SAP initiatives and enhancements.
Own and support the SAP Global Template within Finance and Controlling
Evaluate, design, configure, and deliver SAP FICO solutions aligned to business needs
Lead process and master data redesign using SAP best practices
Support continuous improvement initiatives and value realization efforts
Expand expertise in SAP integration points including PP, MM, SD, PS, BW, and VC
Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer
Partner with IT and business teams to resolve system and process issues
Ensure timely delivery of milestones with strong communication and organization
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Controlling
Strong functional expertise across:
General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Fixed Assets (AA)
Bank Accounting
Project Systems (PS)
Product Costing (CO-PC)
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
Experience with 5+ full lifecycle SAP ECC 6.0 implementations
Hands-on SAP FICO configuration and production support
Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP integration
Proven ability to translate business needs into standard SAP processes
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
