Job Title: SRE / Integration Engineer Proactive Resiliency & NFR Enablement
Location: Phoenix, AZ & Sunrise , FL- Onsite
Role Overview
We are hiring an SRE / Integration Engineer contractor to drive proactive resiliency, NFR adoption, and enterprise compliance integration for the Permit to Operate (PtO). This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, CI/CD, and developer enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Drive adoption of SDLC, resiliency, and change management-related and compliance NFRs (e.g., logging, monitoring, deployment strategies, change validation, enterprise tooling, etc.) based on Amex Technology standards
Integrate PtO controls into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, XLR) to enable automated NFR checks and gating
Provide SME knowledge on resiliency, reliability, automation, incident best practices to develop and/pr evolve depth of NFRs
Develop and maintain an NFR proactive enablement survey as definitions become more defined and evolve, and if additional NFRs are added to program scope
Partner with application teams to use the survey, remediate gaps, and achieve compliance readiness across all program NFRs
Improve system reliability through proactive resiliency engineering (HA, scaling, failure recovery patterns)
Provide hands-on support and "white-glove" onboarding for partner teams, including documentation and best practices
Required Qualifications
Strong experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering
Hands-on expertise with CI/CD systems and pipeline integrations
Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and reliability patterns (HA, failover, observability)
